Formed in 1973, Deep East Texas Self Insurance Fund is a federation of Texas Governmental Entities dedicated to providing quality, competitively priced insurance services to its members.  Originally targeting the 13 county Deep East Texas Area, the Fund has grown to include members in every corner of the state.  

As one of the original Public Funds in the Nation, DETSIF has provided a level of personal service unknown in the industry, retaining over 85% of our original members while conservatively expanding our membership to current levels.
